getting new gear

Hi all,

I've been obsessing for months about which gear to get (from what I've read, I don't trust my Joe Rocket Phoenix). I've basically narrowed it down to 2 choices:

1. Tour Master impulse jacket + Decker overpants

2. Motoport Kevlar mesh.

Any recommendations? How comfortable is perforated leather in the summer in LA?

i haven't experienced summer riding yet but i have ridden in a few warm sunny day weather back in january and the perforations (it's inside the zipper on my jacket so i can technically turn it on or off) really helped cool me.
