break in oil change(s)

I changed my oil filter and final drive lube at 1000 miles.

I am thinking of changing them again at 2000 (almost here). You think it's a good idea to do this? Then go to 2500 to 3000 miles as the dealer says.

Thanks

as long as you arent changing your oil out with water i don't see how it could hurt anything but your check book.

Not sure it would help a great deal either.

Just do whats listed in your owners manual...nothing more nothing less.

You can never change your oil enough.

Read what the manual suggests. The engineers of that bike wrote the manual and have done extensive testing to make sure that the maintenance schedule is solid.

I wouldn't do more than what's written. It hurts the pocket book and uneccessarily introduces perfectly good oil into recycling (which requires energy to refine).

can't go wrong going along with what the manufacturer suggests.
