people will buy anything. one man's trash is another's treasure and all that.
my dad is the least computer/internet savvy person that i know, and yet he makes money off of Ebay. He goes to garage sales and buys odd things for cheap and then packages them up on ebay and sells em.
for example last month he bought about 30 Northwest Territories license plates from a farmer for about 5 bucks (CDN)....turned around and sold 2 of them for like 20 bucks (US$). so not only did he make his money back and more, he still has 28 of these things to sell and will parcel them out on ebay over the next year and they will be snapped up at similar prices.
old records, a trumpet that the mouthpiece was fused, a toy bow and arrow set from the 50s, and little pog like collector coins from Red Rose Tea from the 40s or 50s...he sells it all.
Granted, he might not be able to sell a broken fairing, but there might be someone out there who would buy it for some odd purpose and think he got the deal of the century.
