How much time do you have to ride

I wanted to know with riders that have kids that still require a babysitter how much time do you really have to ride either by yourself or with your spouse or significant other. Our kids are pre teens and playing it out for us right doesnt seem like there will be a lot of time to ride unless I'm not looking at it correctly.

Thanks

Vince

hmm, depends on your situation. i have friends who ride that have kids that split time between sets of parents...which doesnt seem to be your case, but you can see how it can change.

how old are the kids? if they still need a babysitter i'd say you might not have enough time to do a lot of riding...you might want to consider a small dirt bike for the kids (and one for you too ) and teach them to respect bikes early so you can have them ride with you on the dirt now, and when they get a bit older they can ride on your street bike with you, and make it a family affair.

I find enough time with 2 kids of 7 and 4. My wife doesn't ride on her own yet. So if I wanna go, I tell her I'm going for a ride and go. She stays with the kids.

If she wants to ride pillion, we find a babysitter. Luckily her sister and a couple friends live close by so it generally isn't a problem finding someone to watch the kids for a hour or two while we ride.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

We have 3 kids...ages 11, 7 and 2. Sometimes we take turns, and sometimes we'll find a babysitter. Luckily im blassed with my mom and teenaged nices that live close by!

We mainly share turns riding. I'll go out when I can, and she will when she can. We rarely ride together, but have worked out times to be out together. We ride during the kids school year too sometimes. I have to slip out of work for a bit to do that, so it doesn't happen a lot. I don't see how you couldn't squeeze some time in for at least little rides. My wife and I also watch the kids by ourselves sometimes so the other can take a weekend or two trips away in the Spring to Fall season.

I have a 3 year old son, and my girlfreind, who is also my babies momma, has a slight disability. So I don't like to leave her at home with the kid for very long. Only becuase she gets tired easily.

So I get maybe once a week to ride, maybe a little more if i take the bike to the store.

I dont have many options for a baby sitter.

My son is 7 & daughter is 4. I ride to work everyday and usually can sneek a ride on Sunday mornings after church or with the neighbor on Saturday afternoons. If you can, try rding to work. It'll save ya some gas $$$.
