First bike
Hi there, i'm new to this motorcycle world. I have been reading about all sorts of bikes to try. The fact is i'm brand new and don't even know how to ride one. I have a friend thats going to teach me on his old bike so i'm leaning on still getting a new one. I'm looking at the 500r and the 250r. I like the price and the sound of the 250r. A friend said he test drove one and the accelerations was really bad. Let me also point out that I will be strictly using this bike on a sunny day when its cool out. Pretty much for gas purposes. So if it's nice out i'll prolly drive it to work. I have a wife to so when we go out i drive the car. Would this be a good bike to start on and good for gas? What does it do 0-60? Let me know experts....thanx

Most 250's will still out accelerate most cages. The only downside to the Ninja 250 is its small size but if you small it is a bonus.Did you check out this thread.

Thanx
Yeah I read that thread and it helped. I'm actually a small little asian guy. Bought 5'3 so I think the 250 should be really good for me.

Well as a small Asian Guy (your words
) I bet you are quite light so the 250 will realy motor I had one many years ago when they were the GPX250 back then (see pic below)it was realy great fun.Because they are light once you get used to it you can realy realy move and out handle a lot of other machines. With your weight I will say 0-60 will be about 6 Seconds thats just a rough guess mind.
