Buying a bike without a title?!

#1 Unread post by zenman »

Who would sell a bike without a title?
Who would buy one?
I see a bike that looks good on ebay, but I wouldn't know how to begin getting a title on the thing first.

here's the bike if you were interested.

Check your state's DMV website or speak with a lawyer. I believe you can have the titled "researched". Then, they'll either find the title or have a replacement one made.

I'd be very leary of buying any motor vehicle without a title. Too much chance that it was stolen. The other problem would be liens on it. They may still owe money on it and the financial institution still has the title. At the very least, I'd get a carfax report or try and do some research with my local law enforcement using the VIN Number.

Good Luck!

Who would sell a bike without a title?
Someone who is selling for parts, or living in a state that doesn't require a title.

Have you tried the craig's lists in your area?

Also, try www.ninja250.com for the classifieds

ha ha ha that makes me laugh, over half of the bikes you see for sale in the classified section of ur newspaper don't have a title cause most people are still paying for it, then they expect you to trust them when you give them the money for the bike that they will pay off the loan against the bike then send you the title, ha ha ha ha ha ha I have my bike for sale right now, listed in the newspaper and included the words "clear title" and when people call me they still ask me if I have the tiltle for it, I tell them yes I do. I have to be nice and friendly to the callers cause they are a customer, what I really wanta tell them is "hey moron did you read the add? It says CLEAR TITLE!!""

yes I am bitter and I have a reason to be, but im here trying to help you people with my good advice, my lifes experiences, I owned motorcycles for a long time and I made some mistakes, im just sharing my mistakes with the people of this forum so they don't make the same mistakes I made. Im surprized nobody defends me, I had a few people agree with me, I say the things everybody else is thinking but is afraid to say. I know there are a lot of guys out there that hate the bike they own but they are afraid to admit it cause they don't wanta look like a dummy cause they bought the wrong bike, my wife left me for another man and im really good looking and skinny and I just don't understand why, and I have trouble dealing with that. but... I don't wanta talk about my personal problems I wanta talk about motorcycles.

The one mistake I've seen you make is thinking that people actually appreciate the horseshit that you're shovelling everywhere.

Pushoff, harass some other forum with your lies and misinformation.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
