its Hot!

Man, so it was 92 degrees yesterday, and I think the same today. I of course, wore my gear on the way to work today which includes a mesh JR jacket with armor, leather perforated gloves, ful face, etc etc

Granted my commute involved some city traffic, but I was an absolute sweaty mess when I got to work. It took a good 20-30 minutes sitting in the air conditioning just to feel comfortable again. My entire commute is only 15 minutes tops.

I can't belive they dont make more white motorcycle gear. I know there are some, but everything is predominatly black, especially pants.

Anyhow, I guess I had no real point, expept to say, its HOT!! But im still wearing my gear...

Imagine how tough it would be to keep white gear white. Bugs, dirt, mud rain, birds... deer. All leave non-white marks when you hit them.

I took a bike on an errand yesterday, had to be the only person in Burlington County with gear on. T-shirts and jeans were the standard, and some had shorts on. Welllll, that's a personal choice, 'nuff sed. My PowerTrip mesh jacket is black, can't understand it. Once I was moving, all the heat I felt was from solar radiation on my back. White would be just too logical.....

87 and humid now, more to come. I will be leaving at 2:00 to run from Princeton to Mt. Holly, pick up the Old Man, and take him to the doctor (no, we use his car, am not riding an 87 year old pillion....) Right through the hottest part of the day. Ychhhh.

Whatever happened to in between? Y'know, 70-75 degrees, normal humidity? Good ole Delaware Valley, home of bone-chilling damp cold and steam-cooker heat, and near-daily swings in between!!!!

i agree, with some gear. One of my textile jackets has a white, two inch tall stripe across it and after a year of using it it does get a little dirty. Nothing a good wash cant fix though.

But as far as mesh, I dont think white would be any worse then anything else.

Oh and, if I hit a deer, I wont be worrying about how dirty my jacket is weather its white or black

Holiday, that's what I said when I borrowed my friend's jacket. The disturbed look she gave me was priceless.

I had on full gear last week, on a morning that was already hot in Orlando (in another few weeks it goes from humid & hot to humid & miserable...), leaving my condo community. Stopped by another resident, who was going out for a ride in shorts and a t-shirt. He says "Man, its too hot for all the gear!" I say "Gimme heat rash over road rash any day."

Saw tons of bikes (some really nice ones) this past weekend in St. Augustine. Very little gear, but lots of great-looking rides, and lots of bikers having fun. Maybe one of these days I'll be more confident, and will gear down a little. But not anytime soon....

I rode yesterday with my leather jacket on. It only has vents. It isn't to bad. It got up into the 90's here. When I'm moving it's fine, stopped it gets a bit warm, but nothing to bad.

Just got back from the office...40 minutes in mostly bumper to bumper (To tired to lane split, just wanted to get home) and I was soaked.... Jeans, polo shirt and Joe Rocket Black reactor... It was so damn hot....
