motocross armor for the street

I was wondering what you guys thought of using motocross armor for street use under leathers/textiles? Something like this: [rockgardn.easystorecreator.com] (RockGardn flak jacket).

It doesn't have a CE rating, but I was wondering if it is better or worse than armor with a CE rating. I am jonesing for the chest and spine protection, and like the fact it is attached right to me.

Yes I know about the AS bionic and ICON armor, but again, no ratings, so I have no idea how good they are on the street.

I would rather have more armor than not enough, you know?

Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Not really used this type of armour myself, but from what i've read, it's more geared towards off-road to on. In that the armour is more there to stop clumps of dirt from breaking your ribs, than do much about an impact with the ground. There are plenty of well-known, high quality brands out there doing gear especially for the street, it may pay you to pop down to your local dealer and have a word....
Don't give up.

Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.

If you never give up, you can never truly fail.
