I am looking to buy a klr250 1995 and wondering would it be able to make it up boggy hills or accross the beach easily and do most of them have electric start?

DONT BUY THE KLR! I had one and I didnt like it. They dont have an E start, they are a "dog" to kick, and they are a dog for a 250 dirt bike. Look at the yamaha XT225 if you want something in the 250 range, it has an E start, and is much lighter.

They are pretty weak in the power department, that's a fact. It will go most anyplace any other bike will go, just slower in power-intensive situations. Like sand or hills. They come down the other side of the hills nicely though.
