I dragged my foot peg for the first time!

I washed the bike after work today since I had to ride through the rain yesterday so it needed to get purty again. Since it had a gleam to it, I figured I'd take it for a spin. Well I took it on a pretty windy back road. I came upon a left hander with gravel on the outside so I stuck to the inner corner. Well I may have overestimated my entry speed so I had to lean over further to make the turn. My left foot peg hit the ground and it suprised me a lot but I held the lean and made the turn. Now I've only been riding for about 2 months and I've had the bike for about the same amount of time so it was a landmark for me to have leaned over the bike enough to hit the foot peg. Now that I know how it feels to hit the foot peg, I'll be more prepared for it next time.

Do you remember the first time you dragged the foot peg?

Sweet, my first time on any bike was in the MSF class, second time right after when I decided to do it on my bike. Congrats, from now on it will be easier to do it, now that you have a feel for it.

Thats one of the main reasons I like my Vulcan, Two wide pipes that have a tendancy to scrape after the pegs start to lift.

Scraped a peg (the peg a little bit, the heel of my giant right foot a good bit more) on my second real ride. Made a right on to an uphill street a little too fast and felt it scrape, first my heel, then the footpeg.

If I scrape pegs on my bandit im in real trouble LOL. Its pegs are up pretty high. I briefly touched a peg down on my first canyon ride with my first bike, didn't even really feel it. Just found a fresh scrape on one of the pegs after the ride.

I have never dragged a peg on my Bandit but I have given my toe sliders a real workout.

How is this guys form. This was at a track day in Queensland Aust and by the end of it the fellow at the back was down to half a footpeg.
