Colorado Rides
Place for you favorite rides in the beautiful state of Colorado.
Went up I70 to 40 over Berthoud pass to Winter Park (no gravel and very clean on the switchbacks) Great pass to drive a bike over.
Then went to Grand Lake and up thru Rocky Mountain Ntl Park. What an incredible place to ride (but watch out for the Elk!!) The views are stunning.

Ft Collins/Loveland to steamboat springs is long as hell but fun.
take CO14 east of Ft collins through Poudre canyon (watch for gravel on the blind turns) then up through camden pass, you come out near walden then you take 14 out of walden towards US 40. You pick up 40 at the base of rabbit ears pass and take it into steamboat springs, the decent into steamboat springs is a bit hairy, fast sweepers heading down a 7% grade that drops 5000ft in 10 miles.
I just did this trip on saturday. I did take a different route home, I took CO 125 out of walden and took it up into wyoming and came home via Laramie. A grand total of about 400 miles.

Perry Park Road
Perry Park Road
After you head back from hitting the curves on SH67 out of Sedalia (see above,) shoot down Perry Park Road just before you get back to Sedalia. Freshly paved blacktop for miles and miles. Take it all the way to Palmer Lake and then head East on 105 to North on 83 to Franktown where you can stop at the Stagecoach for a break. (Lots of bikes/riders)
Scenic beautiful cager-free ride in the beautiful Front range of Colorado.

More on Perry Park Road (SH105)
Went for a ride tonight after the T-storms passed thru. Sun setting, driving along the front range with the cattle grazing. Ranches, mountains, rainbows. Everything green and clean. The air was literally sweet. What a serene and incredible ride!!
Eventhough the road is only a couple of miles west of I25, you'd think you were in the middle of the Rocky Mountains.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME RIDE
