I finally removed all those annoying stickers that the manufacturer had stuck on everywhere. The bike looks so much better. Let's see, there was one on the windshield, one on each crash bar and then the one on the tank. I feel better now!

Me too. I had 3 on the tank and one on the top of the left fairing. Slight pain in the butt to remove them, but it's worth it.

I used bug and tar remover and a couple fingernails to get rid of mine.

Unless you want to ruin the paint on your new bike, BE PATIENT AND DON'T USE ANYTHING HARDER THAN A FINGERNAIL TO GET THEM OFF.

Give yourself about an hour to do it or take a break and come back to it.

It is a serious pain in the A#@ to remove them.

Rubbing alcohol worked best for me to get rid of the sticky goo after you peel the stickers off.

GooGone or GooOff is great for removing the adhesive crap. I used it when taking off the emblems from my truck (that and some dental floss).

I only have one near the chain... the ones that are on the tank (according to the owners manual) aint there... maybe the dealer took them off....

Those stickers are there for liability purposes. You can bet if the stickers weren't there, some fool would do something they weren't supposed to and get themselves hurt and then sue for big $$$....

For example...the guy who was driving his Winnebago...put it on cruise control and went to make himself a cup of coffee. The thing ran off the road.
He sued Winnebago and won a huge amount of $$$ because the manual didn't tell him he had to stay in his driver's seat.

That instruction is now in the manual.

Or the lady who got a cup of coffee from the McDonalds drivethru, took the lid off set it between her legs and promptly spilled it on her crotch. Severe burns, and she won a case against them because there was no warning that the contents were hot on the cup.

There is now a warning on the cups that the contents may be hot.

thats an urban myth. id post the link prooving it, but im too lazy. check snopes.com though
