Crazy how it gets right up even though hes (likely) seriously injured.

Probably just shock.

I'm with you though.

You can ride/drive perfectly,,, but unfortunately you share the road with hundreds or thousands of other people on a given day. All it takes is one of them to do something really irresponsible.

one of my friends ex husbands died 2 weeks ago in an accident almost identical to that. now his daughter has no father and she is only about 5-6.

i really hope they have harsh sntances for people who do stuff liek that. i know they werent trying to hurt anyone but maybe some heavy fines and community service will make them think twice about talking on that cell phone whil they drive.

Join the AMA they are constantly fighting in court so morons like that have stiffer penalties, and so far they are succeeding.

How about loss of driver's license along with stiff fines and community service?

Yah, this stuff scares me also... I just starting riding again after about 15 years. All of the stories...if you let them get to you, you'll never leave the garage.

I'm trying to learn how to be safe, to control what I can control. THe other stuff like this, is in God's hands. At least this is what I keep telling myself...

That same accident would've happend if only cars were involved - probably resulting in injuries...

This is definitely frustrating. You can see the tree in the right side of the screen. I never come through any lights that hot when its blind, just because of fools like this. He seemed to be wearing full gear which is great. He probably was alright (his bike is another thing). Let me hear some sensible justification why full face helmets are a waste of time, from someone trying to fool themselves. I didn't see his head fly off and him get a neck injury because of the 'extreme' helmet weight. Any helmet but a full face would have meant facial injuries from the way he hit that pavement face first. This wasn't an 'aggressive riding day' or in the twisties just normal riding. All the gear all the time.

Wow, could it have been any more obvious that it was a red light? Probably on the cellphone.

+1

All the more justification for wearing a full face helmet, leathers and gloves while riding. May be hot at the stop lights and when the breeze isn't there but at least you have a shot at being alive and able to stand after something stupid and sensless like that.

If you pause or slow it down, you see the head impact and drag. Still shake my head at the 'cool' (not) boys riding with no helmet and a t-shirt.
Live and let die is the motto I guess. To each his own....
