We just got back from a spectacular weekend quading at Indian Graves riding area just over an hour from our house in Calgary. Spectacular scenery and the trails haven't yet been destroyed like many others close to the city. We camped right in near a main staging area and everyone down there was awesome EXCEPT for the non-off-roaders who camped next to us and left all thier garbage for the rest of us to clean up. I've attached a pic or two from the summit of the pass in to the Livingston Range:
Now the wife and I are off for three days on the streetbikes to B.C.! Vacations are great!
4 wheelers are a blast, around here where I like they are more popular than motorcycles, I noticed you rode a Yamaha Kodiak, thats one of the most popular ones here too, only problem is they are belt drive and they fall short when the trails get rough running thru deep water and mud and steep hills.

Looks like you had a great time. I can't wait to get back and start doing some trail rides with my family. There are some pretty good trails right outside my front door. Looks like the Kodiak is holding up retty well too.

Too bad you live so far away or we could try to get out quading Matt. I seriously enjoy quading without taking it seriously at all. As long as the Kodiak continues to work as well as it does, I can't see ever getting a different machine. If and when it wears out, I'll be looking for another lightly used Kodiak to replace it with.

Well, next time you have to head to AK for business, set aside a bit of time and we'll go ride. I've got three ATV's now. My wife picked up an 01 Yamaha Warrior 350 in great shape for $2K. So now I've got one for going fast, and one for going anywhere, as well as my son's 80.
I'll be home sometime very late 07 or very early 08.

I like your way of thinking. I have a Kawasaki Mojave for going fast (relatively speaking) as well as the Kodiak.
Hope your tour goes by quickly and safely. Watch out for those gates!
