When I first read the title of this post, I thought to myself...

"Oh damn, another MotoF150 post about his motorcycle business idea."

You should check out http://www.madmaps.com/ they have got some pretty sweet maps. They plot out the best routes for you and they show you all the restaurants and hotels along the way. I bought one for East Tn. and Western N.C. and I'm love'in it.

How a list like this can omit Santiago Canyon & Ortega Highway and call itself complete is beyond me. :frusty:

Santiago Canyon is where Cooks Corner is located east of Orange down to Lake Forest. It's quite senic and has some twisties especially if you take a run up Live oak Canyon past O'neil park and Trabuco Canyon to RSM. Cooks Corner is a very famous biker hang out and is jammed with bikes every weekend. Very fun ride indeed.

Santiago canyon is a pleasant low-curve drive through a scenic area. I used to drive home from work on that road 5 nights a week (I took the toll road to work, and that back home). Live Oak Canyon Rd (which is what goes to RSM from Cooks Corner) has some fun twisties... I used to drive my Jensen Healey along that road at way fun speeds all the time. It's short though. It's also fairly heavily patrolled just because it's one of the back ways from RSM to Lake Forest.

I gotta agree that's a pretty lame excuse for a list. It includes a bunch of so/so roads and leaves out some of the greats. Better than nothing though. :)
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

Verm, I like the Ortega Highway...even though it's the only one I frequent. Palomar has not only stepped up patrols from LEA's....but the residents up there have taken a "vigilante" stance on squid's who go up there and have attempted to ride 'em off the road. Just be careful if you go to Palomar.

Ortega was doing some construction recently and may still have some gravel....I would stay away unless its all cleaned up by now. I haven't been there in a month or so.

Let me know when you go to any of these places. If i'm not working, I'll tag along.
