OK so, I'm not really sure if anyone other then a few people (thanks mom!) read my blog, but if you do, you'd know I'm doing a cross country trip on my 86 Yammy FJ1200 this month. I'm leaving in two weeks from tomorrow and doing it solo. For more details, check my blog.

The point of this thread, is , well, I wanted to know if anyone wanted to ride part with me, or maybe let me camp in their yard, or perhaps, meet for a coffee or something, along the way. Any human conact will be welcome as I'm a social person by nature, and will be riding alone all day for 9 days or so.

I dont have really detailed plans, except that I'm leaving July 21st and going west from Philadelphia, roughtly to st louis, denver, vegas, then San Diego. I MIGHT take a more nothernly route out west and ride to San Francisco, then spend the last day riding down the PCH to SD, but thats going to depend on what kind if time I make. I fly home from San Diego July 30th. I'll be flying back in September then riding home.

So if anyone wants to meet up, to ride with me, or to offer a yard to sleep in, or whatever, please post here, or PM me your info. I'll probably have some internet access while on my trip, but I'd like to take everyone's info with me before I leave.

Thanks!

it's a little northerly, but if you make it into wisconsin, i've got a fridge full of beer and a yard on the river.

Well, if you're coming through Colorado, I'm in Colorado Springs just south of Denver and could probably put you up for the night. Let me know.

Let me know what your route will be passing by Ohio. I know you can take 70, which passes just a bit north of Loonette and I. If you are passing by south of here, I may be able to ride down and say hi anyway. I seem to think if you are going to St. Louis you'd pass south of my area.

As you know, I'm just east of your starting point so I'm not gonna be much help. Good luck with the trip!

I think I might atually be coming through Ohio on rt70. I'm going to try to make good time getting out of PA/Ohio/Indiana/illinios because i've ridden all of those place before. I'm hoping to be in st louis area by the end of the 2nd day. Its hard to say exactly, but I'm thinking i'll probably be somewhere around Columbus after the first day, July 21st.

Question ffor someone, which would be more interesting to ride though, Kansas or Nebraska? Or are they very similiar? Just wondering.

I will indeed be coming through Colorado. I've never been so I'm really looking forward to that part.

from my vague recollections they were pretty similar. i'm sure folks from either place would know cool rides in their areas, but if you are looking to make some time i'd just hit the Interstate and straight line it to Denver

Let me know when you solid that up. I'd be glad to join you for a stretch of road anyway - Loonette, Zootech, and even T-bonee might be able to do the same - depending on what day and what time.

that would be awesome, getting to meet 3 or 4 of you at once!

What would work best for you guys? I think I'll be riding west of Columbus on Saturday. Does that work for you guys? I could give a call Friday night and let you know exactly where I am if that makes things easier. I'm not really going to be able to say exactly where im going to be and when until probably a day before, so my itenerary probably wont get any more solid then it is now, but I'd love to be able to meet up with you guys. Even if I have to change plans slightly to do it, I wouldnt mind.
