The American Sportbike - Roehr Motorcycle Company

#1 Unread post by earwig »

I personally think it's an ugly (ducati ripoff?) bike... It would be nice to have another real American sport bike though...

oh wow!

i read more into it.

it also comes w/...

ohlins suspension and brembo brakes!

together w/ the carbon fiber bodywork... i wonder waht's the retail on this.

seems like a nice package... too bad the nose is really really ugly and too bad it's a Vº twin.

also, the seat height is only 30 inches. that's pretty low for a sportbike so smaller riders can flat foot it no problem.

There are plenty V-twin badboys out there. To say too bad it is a v-twin shows you have only cruisers style v-twins in your mind.

no not really... i really like the sound and powerband of the I-4 better. sure i need to rev it up higher but it's cool to hear it scream.

Nice to see an attempt at a new machine without using a Harley-clone motor! However, given the lack of success by other hopefuls in the American market (Indian, Norton, Excelsior, etc) I won't be holding my breath for this one to begin production.
