Horn and laughter

#1 Unread post by DRam »

What's with the horn and laugh track that pops up at random when cruising through the site? It pops up, I shut the site down and restart. Annoying. Or do i get a prize for having it pop up on my computer?

If and when the popup appears again for you, can you take a screen shot of it for me? and if possible right click on it and let me know the URL. I'll do what I can do get rid of it if I can indentify it. :D

Thanks so much,

Mike.

It's one of the banner ads... a the horn is a clown nose IIRC.
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

I haven't seen this ad at all myself, but your experience does sound quite funny with it! LOL.

Anyone know what it is advertising? (buy clown noses at a discount?)

For me the add comes up , but I cannot click on it. I tried, so I could investigate, but clicking did not work. It says to hit the clown but you cannot read the whole add - it doesn't fit in the frame??? I can't even tell what they are selling. Worse yet, the sound for that add comes up sometimes when the add is not there???

If I right click all get is a Macromedia properties choice so I can't even give you info about he source. Looks like one only you'll be able to find. None of us can see the whole add or click on it - and yes it is very annoying. Enough that I turn my sound off for this site now.

It might take me sometime to find that ad, but I will and when I do, I'll kill it. :D

I created this page to identify ads and where they are coming from. Can you see it here? http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/paidads/

If so, let me know what it falls under. :D

"Hit the Clown! Get a ringtone at no charge"

It and another one with a cat meowing loop and continue to run until you leave the page.

They link to this URL -
http://offers.dada-mobile.net/?offer_id ... 16067-1015

Very annoying. I think we should only have ads that are activated by touching the given add. That one is so loud.

I'm on it and doing my best. It's hard to find as they don't need to call it something obvious... :frusty:

Does it look like this:

or

or

does the popunder look like this?

I see from your URL that its from DadaMobile, but these are the only ones showing on TMW and they didn't make any sound for me. :(

I agree with you, those types of ads like that are very annoying and as soon as I find them I'll get rid of them. As this ad looks like it is not targeting Canada (where I am) I cannot see it. :(
