Will a '99 R6 fairing fit a 200o R6?

#1 Unread post by CTringali »

I'm trying to get a new set of fairing for my bike, which was destroyed after a crazy girl took a bat to the bike.

I want to get these fairings, but i'm not sure that they'll fit my 2000 R6.

Does anyone know?

Thanks a million.

Well, if I'm going to give the whole story, here is the short version.

I can't check to see if it's the same fairing, because I don't have the bike in front of me.. it's 45 minutes away. It's not actually my bike, is a friends (she's female). She's a motorcycaholic... she recently broke up with a boyfriend of over 2 years, and unfortunately, wasn't able to get the bike out in time. He called her on her cell, and was yelling at her, calling her a ___ and whatnot, and in the process of yelling she started hearing loud bangs. It comes out that those bangs are actually him trashing her bike. She left the guy because of how crazy he was getting.. and this just kinda proves the point yet again. So, there ya go. I'm going to go hunt for pictures, to see if it's the same style.

And why would a dude trash a bike. That's just messed up.

haha.. she's actually an ex-girlfriend. We dated my freshman year of high school (and we're still friends almost 10 years later) I'm 23 now. The only reason I'm going through the trouble, is that she's letting me ride the bike anytime I like. She's paying for everything, I just get the work done. I havn't had a bike in almost a year, so I'm kinda desperate for anything right now. I can't wait. hehe

I'm confused. Was it a dude or a chic who took the bat to the bike? Are you really the crazy ex with the bat that trashed the bike; now feeling remorse and wanting to buy new fairings for her? It's ok, you can tell us. :D

And to answer your question about the fairings; with a hammer, chisel, putty, and glue, they should fit, no problem. :D

the first time i just put the story in 1st perspective to make it easy, but then when people started asking questions i decided to tell the real story.
