and I thing thats using 220V so it'll definitely be and overnight deal with 110V.black mariah wrote:"As short as 3.5 hours"kabob983 wrote:Man, that's...decent. I suppose for around town driving that'd be alright but I'd have to charge my car three times to go visit the GF. And I wonder how long it takes to charge?
The public isn't stupid...the electric car has been around for 100 years but there's no profit in it. Instead of building a good looking barebones electric commuter vehicle, they build this; a sportscar with a zillion computer gadgets and no real mass production potential so it ends up at an astronomical price tag. The company makes money, folds and retires with some oil company kickbacks and government cash rewards for being so inventive, and the whole thing dies. Meanwhile gas prices go up and politicians keep talking about alternative fuels to get more votes, offer tax rebates and incentives to car companies that spend billions to shave 10mpg off their fleet average and ultimately nothing gets done.black mariah wrote:I can see it now. Company folds in three years, you have crazy donkey environmentalists decrying its failure "OMG TEH PUBLIS IS STOOPIDS!LOL!!!" as if anyone wants to pay $100k for an electric powered Lotus Elise.
The sooner people pull their head out of their "O Ring" and get over the electric car thing the sooner we can get to the REAL alternative fuels.
AAs or Ds?Plus that thing has something like 6200 baterries in it. That'll be fun to replace!
Reread my post. You're preaching to the Pope.CNF2002 wrote:The public isn't stupid...the electric car has been around for 100 years but there's no profit in it.
