It's freakin' awful around here. It'll break soon (I keep telling myself). It's 10:00 AM right now, the kids are ready to go to the library, and I'm not looking forward to the 7-block walk.

I rode with ZooTech on Sunday - not quite as bad as yesterday and today, but it was still awfully hot. I was starting to question the true safety of my helmet - I really wanted to just toss it to the side of the road. The worst I did... I rode with no gloves. Geesh.

Think cool thoughts - remember how nice it is in the Fall, when there's a good six weeks of moderate temps and gorgeous scenes of colorful leaves.

Cheers,
Loonette

Is your helmet vented? My head seems to stay pretty cool at speed with my helmet on.

Ohio must be in a different midwest than illinois. We are lucky to get 6 days of nice temps.. haahah.

I totally agree though, its WAY WAY WAY to hot, and with my un-airconditioned garage I haven't been motivated to work on my bike!

Um... ya - but that doesn't help while waiting 5-10 minutes in a traffic tie up. I understand the physics of moving air - it's still freakin' hot around here.

93 right now, with 100 heat index. In Traverse City freakin' Michigan. I don't even have my bike on the road...have to drive an '84 LTD with no AC. The windows felt like blast furnaces, and it's just as hot today.

I remember living in Indiana, though, it'd be like this for weeks straight. At least this is supposed to break sometime tomorrow.

We're pretty well off right now over here in california but it was brutal last week. It was 115F with 40% humidity and 151.8F on the heat index. It's 90F right now.
