Custom jackets somewhat fast?!

I've been searching for any place that has high quality leather jackets that can meet two simple criteria

1. Custom fit my 6'10" frame.
2. Deliver said custom jacket in a few weeks

Most places I've found all say the same thing - 8 weeks. WTF?! 2 months for a friggin' jacket? Are they raising the cow, sending to the slaughter house then making the jacket?

Ideally I'm looking for a summer jacket. Well vented or perforated. Not black. This was the perfect jacket until they said 8 weeks as well... http://www.vansonleathers.com/obsolete_ ... breeze.htm

Eight weeks sounds about right. In fact, it sounds damn fast for custom ANYTHING.

Well I had looked at Foxcreek.com before, finally decided to give them a call. 3-6 weeks is better than 6-8 and folks seem to be happy with their purchases. The trail jacket is on its way...

You won't be sorry. All their leathers are as soft as butter and they can do repairs if the unmentionable happens to occur

Oh, another vote for Fox Creek. DH and I ordered our jackets from there, and we're in JPN. They were extremely helpful on the phone.

Anyhow, if it doesn't fit like a glove, just call them up, tell them what needs to be adjusted and send it back. The leather quality is very good. And very heavy, so you know it can take a beating. When we put on our fashion leather jackets to go out, it feels like we're wearing a piece of paper compared to the Fox Creek jacket.
