Crazy things you see other riders do...

Just a couple of recent things I've seen that made me shake my head... thought I'd share.
#1 is the guy on the (really, really nice) Harley I saw at a set of lights the other day. Very cool bike, and he's fitted in nice gear, with a *full* friggin' plastic grocery bag hanging from the left handlebar. I sat there staring at him as the bag swung back and forth in the wind. I'm sure a good bump or hard brake would have ripped the bottom of that bag out. Yikes.
#2 is the insane guy on a Ninja who had a neat way of returning a wave. I see him coming and do the ol' low wave with my left hand. He returns the favour by nodding, then yanking back into the highest wheelie I've seen, at about 90km/hr and with a buddy on the back of his bike, and traffic beside and behind him. I was thinking "jesus that's stupid" immediately followed by "jesus I with I could do that".
Oh, and there's also the rough looking guy on a hog stopped beside our van at a set of lights. My 5 year old says "dad, there's a motorcycle with mouthwash on the back!". Sure enough he had a huge bottle of Scope strapped to the seat behind him, out in the open. I guess he didn't want a bag hanging off the handlebars.
I also sat out a hail storm with some people under a bridge last month. I thought I was dressed too lightly with my riding jacket, boots, and jeans... this guy and his wife had shorts, sneakers, and t-shirts on. They were shaking so hard I thought they'd chip their teeth.

nothing too crazy for me yet...
1. i've seen a guy pull a cool but uncessesary wheelie on the other side of the freeway when he saw me.
2. i met a guy who was running racing slicks on the canyons.
3. i met this rider who was wearing a red scarf. who does that guy think he is???

I saw this guy riding next to me yesterday on the way home from work. His helmet had the most insane paint scheme I had ever seen. It looked just like the face of Venom from one of those spiderman movies. He had even painted over the windscreen. I hope he could see throught that. Nevertheless, it was the coolest helmet I have ever seen.

is the guy huge? and i just don't mean fat.
if he is... he can't look through the windscreen even if he wanted to. i saw some guys on other forums painted their windscreen since they can't look through it even if they tried. of course, it might give them problems from the popo.
this is of course, assuming the bike is a sportbike.

I have one about this guy who joined a motorcycle discussion board that suggests starting small, but he bought a 1 litre bike and dropped it going too wide in a turn. The funny thing is the guy never seems to get the message and posted videos of him riding poorly. Get this - the guy thought one of the most important things was to get his knee down. How do I lean more he would ask. Glad we don't have a guy like that around here.

Havent seen any strange things really. I did see a motorcycle-trike conversion and the back end of it was actually a VW bug! I also saw a guy with a skid lid with a fake purple mohawk attached to it.

I almost took out a crazy rider yesterday with my car. I was riding in the middle lane of rt 2 (3 lane highway) and was about to merge into the left lane. I checked my mirror then my blind spot and started to move when I saw a flash in my rear-view mirror and pulled back into my lane. Good thing I did, because the rider who had just entered the freeway from an onramp decided to gun it and move 3 lanes in between traffic.

I was about >< close to nailing him and it would have totally been his fault.
Rt 2 has lots of hills so as I would come over one I could see him ahead, zig-zagging through all 3 lanes. I don't know why getting somewhere 5 minutes faster is that important but I guess to him it was!

and c'mon, it was freaking downhill decreasing radius turn + loose gravel.
it's still my fault, im not blaming the road. im just stating the conditions of my crash.
