Brakes
Brakes
I posted this is another forum on the site but I am looking for as many thoughts on this as possible. I went out for a long ride today with a new helmet. Previously, I was wearing a full-face helmet. The new helmet is a half helmet. I could obviously hear a lot more with my ears uncovered. I noticed that when I squeezed thee front brake at higher speeds, I could hear what sounded like air coming out of a tube. Is this normal? It did not seem to affect the strength of the front brake. Like I said, I never noticed that sound with my old helmet on. Any ideas? Should I be concerned?

Re: Brakes
sounds to me like you are hearing the air rushing in and out through the holes in the rotor allowing the brakes to be cooler.pacedawg wrote:I posted this is another forum on the site but I am looking for as many thoughts on this as possible.
