I need a new ignition coil for a 1978 Honda CB400TII Hawk. Mine still works, but when it gets hot it cuts out.

Cheapest I have found is around 100-125 bucks. I only paid 300 for the motorcycle...! Doesn't anyone make something less expensive???

Thanks!
Andy

Check around the Internet for an Accel coil that will fit. Accels are usually priced lower than the Dyna coils and will do fine on your 400. I've seen Accels from around $75-$95.

I found a new stator by Electrix for my 81 CX650 through them. First go to Electrex.com and check to see if they make what you need. Then buy at one of their dealers.

The JCWhitney coils are decent replacements.

Call your local parts shop. They should have inexpensive replacements.
