This was posted on the Ducati dealer's where I purchase my monster website:

"DESMOSEDICI - The start of a new generation
The Desmosedici street bike will be a 2007 production model. At this point the only information that we can share is that it will be a V-Four 990 cc machine that will retail for approximately $50,000 EU (approximately $75,000-$85,000 CDN). If you wish to reserve this unit please contact us directly. Preference for delivery will be given to existing 999R owners. Qualified dealers are limited to 1-2 units each per year so numbers are extremely limited. This website will be updated as soon as there is more current information available."

I think it's good that it's priced so high. Keeps it out of the hands of many squids.

If honda brings out its rumored v5, I hope they price that hight as well. We'll see...

It also helps that preference will be given to current 999 owners. I would guess that there are some rich squids out there though. Oh to be rich and foolish :D

When is Honda going to go public with the 2006 bikes? I have been looking for information to appear on the press site. I was expecting something today but found nothing. I expect something this week but I don't know if the V5 will make it this year.
