Will my 1989 Kawasaki 454 be affected by this ethanol gas? I hear that some people are having problems with this. What bikes are affected and which aren't?
Thanks

It shouldn't be too bad if it's E10 (10% ethanol) Just change your rubber bits (Fuel lines and carb seals, etc) regularly. Anything over 10% ethanol is iffy.

ETH
Don't use it. My Thunderbird (Ford type) gets 24mpg on gas 7mpg on eth. blend. My flh (harley) fouls plugs about every 150 mi in Californa (18%eth) But they last a couple of thou. on REAL gas. Only ones I own not effected (-ly) Is my Honda postie and my 99 nissan. Even my lawnmower needs an extra 1/2 quart to mow lawn.
Owners man. for my 72 Harley says DO NOT RUN ALCOHOL FUELS
DO NOT RUN UNLEADED FUEL
RUN AT LEAST 110 oct
So here I am w/real lead additive (still avail. in MX) and octane booster so I can run the stuff they now call gas.
