Need Help/Birthday Idea

#1 Unread post by lz1102 »

Hi:

It's my husband's birthday next month and I wanted to try and find some place really cool that we can go to on his motorcycle. I've checked out the motorcycle tour websites but that's big bucks. I'm looking for something to do (I live on Long Island) that is around the 300-500 dollar range for both of us. Any good ideas?? Thanks!

No offense, but here's my take on gift giving:

What's the one thing you don't buy a chef as a gift?
Kitchen equipment.

IMO, unless you specifically know something a biker wants, even if it's your husband, don't get him anything bike related. In general, I like to give gifts that the person wouldn't normally buy for themselves but will like nonetheless. For instance, instead of giving my brother, who is really into music and related collectibles, something related to music or instruments, I gave him a really cool wall tapestry that went with his music room decor.

Then again, you know your husband a lot better than I do!

How about a weekend getaway at a B&B that you both ride to on the bike? Somewhere in the mountains that has lots of twistie roads around it.

just better go soon since its getting kind of cool up your ways soon...
