There is no best really. They're all pretty much on par with each other performance wise. You could nitpick over which one was lighter by a pound or so, but essentially it comes down to what you want in ergonomics and looks.

How long does an avarage person takes to grow out of 250?
I feel ready for a 600 now ( just kiding

my friend's first bike was a 600, 2006 ninja 636 to be exact. He droped it once. but has been riding for close to 7 months now.. and he said he got used to it real quick ( but he dropped it

anyways he and many others say if you start on a 250 you will grow out so fast... (though I might still keep the ninja250.. unless i am short on money for the next bike.. because its a fun bike to ride on)
