I wonder what type of bike that was...the type and rider ability would have a big impact on the results...They did say the bike won one of the races though...
Well I can't regret,
can't you just forget it?
I started something I couldn't finish
If we go down,
we go down together
best friends means,
well best friends means

Bike had no shot. The amount of sheer forward force an F1 car can lay down at high speed with its tires with all that rubber and downforce is just totally insane.

Think about the contact patch on the bike and the contact patch on the car.

So they're racing a stock bike against a forumla one car.

That'd be like pitting a military figher against a boeing 747.

Now if it were a motogp, or even a custom drag bike it might be a lot impressive, but as it stands they're pitting a a stock road bike against a one off multimillion dollar machine. Hardly a race indicative of anything in my mind.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I don't think a MotoGP bike would have a prayer either, especially if the course had turns.

It's still pitting a $12000 bike against a $2000000 car. I fail to see what it proves.

Apparently an F1 car can do 0 - 60 in about 2.5 seconds and 0 - 100 in about 3.5 seconds. So the F1 car would be at 100 around the time a literbike hits 60.

In any case, it "proves" that the F1 car has faster acceleration than a motorcycle.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to have wondered which would win a race. It's fun to see someone do.

Like they said though, the bike can only put off so much power at any speed before it wheelies... if they had an extended swingarm on that bike, it'd be a whole different race, I'm sure. The third race, the bike wheelied for the first 1/8th mile or so... So basically, if you want to really race them, put an extended swingarm or something like that on the bike, then see what goes on.
Plus guys, it's Honda's racebike... their modified CBR1000.
