1) If the choke is pulled out, the engine will die. That means I can't use it to warm up the engine.
2) To get the engine to start, I need to open up the throttle a little and give it some gas. This was true even when the choke did work. So basically, I have to give it gas as I'm starting it and to warm it up, since trying to use the choke just kills the engine.
Occasionally it will stall out when I'm stopped, but when I'm moving it works fine, especially at higher RPMs.
As a side note, I have charged the battery. I start with the bike in neutral, clutch pulled in, gas on, and when it worked, with the choke pulled open. Though the weather has gotten a little colder, it's not exactly cold here in Southern California.
I've only put about 200 miles on it, for a total of about 13,800. Fluid levels look fine. Last time I tipped it, it leaked a little bit of coolant from one of the vent tubes, but only a few drops.
I've seen lots of posts where not using the choke kills the engine. But this seems to be the opposite problem. Any ideas?
