Shane Turpin joins Bimota North America as National Sales Manager

New York, NY (December 11, 2006) -- Bimota North America, Inc., the exclusive importer of the legendary Italian Bimota motorcycles to the USA, Canada, and Mexico, today announced Shane Turpin as a new addition to the Bimota North America team as National Sales Manager for the USA.

Mr. Turpin joins the Company to assist in Dealer Development, Retail Sales Support and Technical Service Training nationwide. He will be based in the corporate headquarters of Bimota North America, Inc., in New York, spending most of his time in the field, working with Authorized Bimota Dealers to support Dealer Principals and General Managers as well as train Sales and Service staff.

In addition, Mr. Turpin will be racing a factory prepared Bimota DB5 in several select regional and national races, representing the brand in both competitive and promotional environments.

”Shane’s vast experience in both motorcycle racing and retail will be a valuable asset for Bimota in the ongoing effort to re-launch our legendary Italian motorcycles here in the States,” said Jean Marc Rousseau, President of Bimota North America.

Mr. Turpin, age 39, has more than 20 years experience on and around motorcycles, most of which he spent in motorcycle retail while competing on a regional and national level in several classes.

Prior to joining Bimota North America, Inc., Mr. Turpin served as General Manager at Salt Lake Motorsports (Ducati/Bimota Authorized Dealer) in Utah.

Mr. Turpin’s very successful racing career includes four National Championship titles, nine regional titles, as well as ten US Track Records currently standing.
