Tuesday, December 19, 2006 - Calgary Motorcycle Show Press Release - Total Motorcycle - www.totalmotorcycle.com

The 6th Annual Calgary Motorcycle Show begins at noon Friday, January 5th and continues through to Sunday, January 7th at 5:00 p.m. at the Roundup Centre, Stampede Park.

This is your first opportunity of the season to see the 2007 models from the leading manufacturers including: Aprilia, BMW, BRP, Ducati, E-TON, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Hyosung, Jianshe, Kawasaki, KTM, Kymco, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa, Victory, and Yamaha.

This show is much more than shiny bikes spinning on display stands. There is a lot of action to take in that will interest motorcycle enthusiasts of all kinds.

Throughout the weekend, the Alberta Mini Road Racing Association members will be racing around the indoor track. The races feature all classes of bikes from 50cc right up to the Formula 80’s ridden by the veteran racers. For the first time ever the AMRA presents the 2007 CMA sanctioned Canadian National Indoor Championship Series. Top Canadian racers will be roaring around the track in head to head competition in the hopes of capturing the first ever Indoor National Title.

The Kawasaki Green Team demonstration is not for the faint of heart. This year’s team of talented riders is captained by veteran Jeff Fehr, along side him are team members Reagan Sieg, Kris Garwasiuk and Drew Cooper. These adrenaline junkies will perform some of the most heart stopping stunts. Defying all the laws of gravity these amazing riders will thrill audiences with stunts like the Kiss of Death, Cliff Hanger, Rock Solid and even the Back Flip. This ramp to ramp action will take your breath away.

For the youngsters that are dreaming about one day racing around a track or flying through the air, the place to start is
the Yamaha Kids Riding Academy. Certified Instructors will provide a free training session for “want to be riders” between the ages of 6 and 12. Once they have completed their training they have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned by taking a ride on the latest Yamaha TT-R off-road motorcycles design just for kids.

No motorcycle show would be complete without an area dedicated to custom bikes, Independent Alley. This area will feature some of the most talented custom painters, builders and fabricators around. The craftsmanship is truly astounding. On Saturday members of CCMA Ward Winning band The Road Hammers will be showing off their recently completed custom bikes. Stop by the Underground Performance booth check out their bikes and take the opportunity to get an autograph.
