You know, I have the same problem.

Whenever I go to run an errand in the car, it's generally a straight run there and back, but when I take the bike I invariably wind up rolling down some backroad somewhere and it can take me all afternoon and a tank of fuel to run that same errand. 8)

Maybe the tires are smaller on your bike.

I have the feeling that it would have been a lot further if it hadnt started to rain. So, sun further distorts the space/time continuum...

 Awesome! I did about 90 for a cup of iced coffee.

I wish miles were longer...

Late last fall we rode 250 miles each way to meet some friends for lunch. Weird thing was that 15 bikes showed up from 3 different states and all rode about the same distance. An excuse to go for a ride.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.

Today I rode about 100km to go get gas... cant fill up if the bike isnt empty you know, and I had to look around for the best prices in town... and the next town.
