Troubles with posts....
Every once in a while, someone posts a picture or signature that goes way over the size of my wide screen format monitor or laptop. This causes anyone viewing the page to scroll back and forth to read the post, etc....
Here's a simple and friendly place to make polite... did you read that right???? POLITE comments to those with posting issues.
Now I for one have a wide img in my signature, I've just realized it may be causing this problem for some that have smaller screens, if so, let me know and I'll make adjustments...

I've found that setting a 750 pixel image width will keep things in the correct perspective (or damn close) even if you have your screen set to 800X600. I don't know anyone who goes any smaller then that.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

You realize that's a function of your computers resolution settings, not the physical dimensions of the monitor, right?

I have LCD so,
15" = 1024 x 768
17" = 1280 x 1024
etc. etc.
I have a 19" LCD and I can scale the res down to 800 x 600
1280 x 1024 is my highest setting.

LoL, no. An LCD has a native resolution in which everything "appears best." But with a little fine0tuned adjustment it's remarkably simple to get it to look perfect on any resolution your video card is capable of producing.Dohun wrote:for CRT it is, not LCDSev wrote:You realize that's a function of your computers resolution settings, not the physical dimensions of the monitor, right?

The limiting factor these days as far as resolutions are concerned is usually your video card.

it's perfect
the long sig line images always bugged me, that and large pictures that you had to scroll left and right to read everything. i know you can adjust for that, but, well, i'm lazy when it comes to computers
