I renamed the Major to: Yes, major bike and/or body damage

I voted for that one as I had an accident going off the highway, striking a bank at 80 km/h; turns out I ended up 75 meters (245') away from the road, my bike landed 25 meters (80') away from me. I was taken by ambulence to the trama ward and while I only received very minor body damage (sprained wrist), my bike was a full write off as it was crunched in the front and the rear from muliple high speed impacts. Thank god for full face helmets, leather gloves and textile jackets. :D

Major doesn't include death or you couldn't be voting.

Voting in this poll in no way influences fate as I'm sure Fortuna the patron of fate I sure will agree.

If only that were the case. :) Coincidence of coincidences: not 30 minutes after I voted here 'no accidents', I went out in the garage - mind on other things - and started backing my bike out.... pllloooop. :scared: Dropped 'im. Fortunately he (yes, my bike is a 'he') landed on a pillow(!) so there was no damage.

Not an accident, per se, but if that fills my accident quota for the next 10 years, I'm a happy camper. 8)

I had a couple of "majors" and a few where the bike was usable again. All in my first few yrs. of "teaching" myself how to ride. Some were my fault. Some were due to crazy cagers. Haven't scratched a bike since 1988 (couldn't find a "fingers crossed" emoticon to go here).

I have been riding on and off for about ten years. I have never crashed. And only one REALLY close call. I almost ran straight into a deer, locked up the front wheel  but recovered.

high sided myself off the XR at about 45 mph. Spent a few hours in the ER getting stitched up and a splint for my wrist.
