Good deal?

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/mcy/327616876.html

It currently as approximatley 14000 miles on it and is still in good condition. The body is in good shape and so is the paint. It has a clean title, i have the pink slip and its registered for another month or so.

*New Upgrades*
New clutch line
Rebuilt Carburetor
New back tire
New brake pads
Oil Change about 1,000 Miles Ago

I am asking $1950 for this bike but am flexible in price.

So what do you guys think? Should I go for it or not?
Also could I resell it easily in a year or so?

I'll get it checked out by a dealer first and then see about getting it for a lower price if I do decide that I want it.

I see no problem with spending $2k on a first bike so long as the bike is in good shape.

Now, blue book vakue is another - I really don't care about that much as it doesn't matter here ;) But check it to be sure I'm not up on recent values for bikes.

It's a little above bluebook, so I'll shoot for 1,500 or so. I'll see about splitting the price of the check-over with the owner.

Ah ok, then yeah, make him a smart offer for both you and he. That *looks* ike a good bike. But definitely make sure you check it out. Sure, it won't be spotless or pristine, but things should still be solid, you know?

I'd say it looks like a good deal. I see people on CL all the time wanting over 4k for ninja 500s.

Yea for real. People think that just because it's a 500 it's worth a fortune.

2k looks pretty fair.

What a deal. I'm also looking for a ninja 500. I'd take it in an instant if it was closer to my house. Finding ninja500s are rare in california. You should check the MOnterey craigslist, its all R6s, CBR 600, kawa zx6r. I have yet to see a ninja 500 or gs 500.
