C50 Running Hot..

Hello,
I just installed some Vance and Hines Cruzers on my 06 C50. Now, after about 20min of highway riding in about 70 degree weather my temp light comes on.
A) I'm thinking it could either be getting hot due to not installing a fuel management system with the new pipes and running a bit lean.
B) When installing the rear pipe I had to remove the coolant hose from the head. Maybe I got an air bubble in the cooling system???
C) I some how blew the fuse to my fan. I noticed while sitting at an red light after the temp light come on that my fan wasn't running. I know it was hot enough to kick on being as my light had been on for about 3 minutes. However I can't find the fuse to the fan in the fuse box.
A couple things of note.
When I shut the bike off and got to looking I could smell coolant but could not see any over flow or leaks anywhere. Also, the over flow tank is full and cool to the touch after even with the motor running hot.
By know means am I an expert on the matter, so I apologize in advance for the lack of info but I would be very thankful to any input you may have.
