MSF Training Course
I'm planning to take a MSF course next month, but I would like to get a year's worth of training by taking multiple classes. My question is have you guys took this course for a year?
My dream bike, the Ducati 1098.

Re: MSF Training Course
You want to take the same class over and over for a year? That doesnt make any sense. Plus it would cost you thousands of dollars! Take the course, go practice in parking lots, work up to side streets, etc...Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R wrote:I'm planning to take a MSF course next month, but I would like to get a year's worth of training by taking multiple classes. There is also advanced riding courses that you can later take.

Take the class once, and pass. Then go buy some cones or tennis balls and do all the drills ni an empty parking lot.
You can also take the ERC course, or a similar once you've had some street time under you.
If you're thinking you can gain a year's worth of riding experience by taking the same class over and over again, you're wrong. You'll end up with a year's worth of experience........riding in parking lots.
Get licensed, go ride.

I meant the advance classes once I pass the basic class (if I pass the basic class).

You can take refresher courses whenever you want.
Go through this first class and see what it's like. Do some riding, see what it's like. Then go to an advanced course. I don't recall if there are specific benchmarks enforced for taking an ERC. Around here, it's recommended a rider have 6mths of road time and at least 2k kms. What that does is gets you settled on your bike, and gets you time to experience a lot of road situations and conditions.
The drills done at ERC are at a faster pace and riding speed.
Edit: Let me add, I spent A LOT of time riding in parking lots. It gets old

I'm trying to see if I can rent one, instead of buying one, because I have an HDTV to pay off and I can't get a bike this year, but I want to at least get some experience this year.jonnythan wrote:Take the basic rider course, then get yourself a bike and get some miles on the road.
*Then* take the experienced rider course.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
