swirl marks.....@#*&#@#*^

#1 Unread post by Murph »

I need a little help... I went riding and ended up with "love bugs" all over my bike. I used S100 to clean my bike, but it did not take off the bugs. I thought I could use a soft toothbrush to remove the bugs from my tank....

OOPS!!!!!!! :censored:

Guess what?

It left swirl marks in the clearcoat.

Is there a way to remove the swirl marks from the tank? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As long as their not deep, use a quality wash to clean the area, then go with a nice quality wax or polish. There are specific "swirl remover" polishes, but I've never tried them (I wouldn't know which brand to recommend).

Get some bug and tar remover at the auto parts store and use a soft cotton cloth like a baby diaper to get it off.You just barely have to rub it.No pressure involved.
