Tinting the top of your visor
Tinting the top of your visor
The setting sun is absolutely killing me some of the evenings around here. I wear eye glasses, so that kind of rules sunglasses out of the picture. One thought that came to my mind was to use some of that tinting wrap on the top 1/4 of my visor, kind of like most car windshields have. I hardly look out that portion, and tinting it would sure cure the squinty eye syndrome I seem to have picked up.
Has anyone else done a partial-tint as described above? I know there are fully tinted visors available, but I still want the clarity of a non-tinted visor for night riding.

Re: Tinting the top of your visor
I have an HJC diablo helmet. takes me all of about 5 seconds to switch out my tinted visor and my clear visor (I ride to work with clear since its pitch black out and ride home with tinted since its daylight out). You can also get tinted eye glasses as well so your ruling of sunglass's out is a mute point considering they also sell snap on tint for your glass's as well as tinted perscription glass's. on top of that there are also those auto tint perscription glass's. couldnt tell you how they work as I have 20/15 vision and never need glass's. My wife needs glass's though and she has a tinted pair of perscription.adrielmichaud wrote:The setting sun is absolutely killing me some of the evenings around here. Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
