10 best bikes for 2007

#1 Unread post by xsyamahadg »

According to Cycle World, here are the 10 best motorcycles in each category for 2007

Best super bike...Ducati's 1098

Best open street bike...Kawasaki's ZX-14

Best middleweight...Honda's CBR600RR

Best standard bike...Triumph's Tiger 1050

Best sport-tourer...BMW's K1200GT

Best cruiser...Harley-Davidson's Fat Boy

Best touring bike...Honda's Gold Wing

Best dual-sport bike...KTM's 525 EXC

Best enduro bike...Kawasaki's KLX450R

Best motocrosser...Honda's CRF450R

What do you think, any surprises there ? Some of the choices aren't in keeping with some of the other magazines I've read so far this year, but then again that's why it's good to read more than one magazine. I was happy to see Triumph's Tiger made the list as well as Kawasaki's ZX-14. I was also happy to see the list was not totally dominated by japanese bikes. Not that I don't like japanese bikes, it's just that when you see other manufacturers getting awards, it serves to keep everyone on their toes. XS

Just read these yesterday... I was surprised KTM's Super Duke only got an honorable mention, I thought it would be in the running for bike of the year the way everyone is raving about it.

have to disagree with cycle world... my bike would have to be at the top of the list since it's the only i can ride regularly...
