Can the NT650 be considered a good beginner bike? I just love the way they look, they're in my price range and they're not super powerful (58hp). It's sort of a rare bike so I can't find out if it would be too much for me. I would appreciate any comments on this.
Btw, I'll be taking the MSF course before even riding a bike, but I found a good deal on a NT650 and don't want to pass it by.
Thanks, Zach

I would say absolutely go for it.
These are rare bikes, excellent in the twisties and forgiving (though at the upper edge of) powerband for a beginner.
This bike will keep you happy for many years to come. Just go easy w/ it to start off. (also make sure you fit on it ... i think they are a bit cramped for taller folks)

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, these are very hard to find, and they are absolutely gorgeous machines. I'm 6' so heightwise I'm pretty average, I have to worry about my belly though(260lb monster)
I just have to see how I fit on it. If I'm lucky nobody snatched it up yet and I'll "fit". Coming from a moderator I guess that counts as double advice lol
