I Need Help! Whats best-Synthetic vs Non-Synthetic?

#1 Unread post by maass »

Just bought a used H.D.V-Rod & plan on racing at the strip.I'm confused as to what would be the best oil for everyday & racing? Anyone have any experience w/performance oils? I'v read alot of car & cycle oil articles on oil and alot of stuff is out there to consider. MAASS

Oil is the most controversial topic in all of automotive technology, it seems.

My money is on Mobil 1 for the best oil out there without spending three times as much on Amsoil. I use nothing else in my car.

You can head to the www.bobistheoilguy.com forums for more information than you could ever take in concerning oil.

Firstly, welcome to TMW. :)

Secondly, what does the manufacturer recommend? That's a good place to start.
