Got my bike!

#1 Unread post by Uridian »

This past Sunday, I picked up a 2000 Ninja 250, Green, with 13xxx miles. Fairly new GT501s (with fender raised), DID X-ring chain, JT stock-spec sprocket (both less than 2000 miles old). Got it for $1800, which I know is a little much for that year and mileage, but along with it I got a new front rotor and front pads (still in packaging), clutch lever, shift lever, and service manual.

So exciting!

Anyway, I've got my permit and my buddy who was teaching me on his cbr1000 will be continuing to tutor me on my new(old) Ninja until I take my MSF course next week.

After so many years, it's finally happening! whee!

Congratulations! Happy bike day. :) And check out ninja250.org if you haven't ... I read it periodically even though I've got a 500, I have never seen a crowd with more ... pluck ... than the 250'ers. :)

Thanks!

I have been reading (and even made a post or two, leading up to my purchase) over at ninja250.org. It's such a wealth of information...

You know your required to post pictures of your bike?
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Thanks again! :)

I'm so itching to take a spin, but my lack of any sort of experience is keeping the bike safely in the garage... :(

and pictures? but of course:

(those ugly stickers will be the first to go when I get around to getting some wash and wax)

That's the only 250 I would ever even consider. You got a nice one at that. You can have tons of fun on a sport 250, enjoy. :D :D :D

*terminator voice* That's a nice bike.........

:D

Seriously, though, that's a nice bike. It looks a lot cleaner than my 250 - I notice that it's got the turn signal mods. They look pretty damn good...I might have to invest in that.

Haha, thanks!

I love the green... I was looking for either yellow (1st choice) or green (close second), so I think I lucked out.
