Miles This Year

#1 Unread post by -Holiday »

That's right, it's time for a good old fashion pissing contest.

Please answer these two questions:

1>Do you get snow and/or ice where you live?

2>How many miles have you logged this calender year?

I'll go first:

1> yes
2> 7153 - thats since roughly early March. Could be better but my commute is only 7 miles :). I ride every day.

p.s. If you have multiple bikes, add the mileage together.

NYC gets its fair share of snow but I still find times to ride all year round.

2005 I put on 12,000+ miles (mostly summer time)
2006 I put on 10,000+ miles
2007 I put on ~ 7,500 miles so far.

Wow, now that I think about it I should really slow down a bit before the resale value reaches 0... if it hasn't already.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.

1) Yes
2) 2,500'ish.

Last year I put 3,500mi on it total. This year is looking to be around 6,000 as a rough guess.

Next year should be even better when my wife starts taking trips with me.
