Red paint, the red ones are faster ... :D

Enjoy your bike when you get it, it's plenty fast just as it is.

its honestly fast enough to get you in plenty of trouble as it is..... thats what I realized on mine.

The only thing thats been giving me the burn to upgrade is the looks and sound, and those really arent so important as they seem. Sound could be changed with an exhaust, but if you find any good visual changes let me know! lol

Its a real fun bike and great to start on! Have fun and good luck :D

A lot of people switch the turn signals out for flush mounts. They are very cheap and make the bike look more modern. Although, you may want to check local laws first - here in MA they won't pass inspection because the turn signals need to be 4 inches or further from the headlight.

There's nothing you can do that's worth it. Ride the bike until you don't have chicken strips and you can do anything you've ever thought possible on it, then if you want more, get a different bike.

They have a reputation for being really fun bikes. It doesn't have gobs of power but they handle really well. It should still be pretty quick to 60mph too. Go enjoy it, listen to storysunfolding.

What about it? Are you suggesting he buy one or are you looking for mods that can be done to your own 500?
