I was browsing around the Blackfoot Motosports site this morning, and found something that made me cackle outloud, turning a few heads in the office.

There's a page showing different customers picking up their bikes: Customer Corner. The one that made me laugh is Gerrard (about halfway down).

Gerrard has been wanting a sport bike for a while and was thinking about getting a 600. After careful consideration and some helpful advise from Mark Dickemous, Gerrard learned that because of his height and size, this 1000cc Kawasaki ZX-10 was just the bike he needed. Congratulations on your new ride Gerrard, have a great summer.

Man, it's a good thing that Mark helped this poor, MASSIVE man out. There is no way that a 600 could have handled his 6', 210 pound frame. He would have been lucky to hit highway speeds with that tiny motor.



Nice to know that salesman are always looking out for our best interests.

Welcome to the TMW forums! Nice to have another Calgarian around - that is just an assumption based on the fact that you posted info about Blackfoot.

It's silly how salesmen have no couth...the'll sell anything to anyone.

I just picked up my brand new m/c from Blackfoot on August 3rd and the guy that did the final inspection on the bike actually looked at my husband and said "now after 50 km's, take this bike out and push it in some corners to really scrub in the tires." I looked at him and said "Excuse me? HIM? What about me? This is my bike!" He didn't even hesitate when he replied "Well, if the bike is going to go down thanks to the new tires, would you rather it go down with HIM on it or YOU?"

Some salesmen have NO idea.

i've met a couple of salesmen at that store and some are actually honest and suggested smaller bikes like a ninja 250, when i told them i was a beginner. Others just try and get you to buy a lot of crap you don't need

What the hell do you make of this one, bearing in mind that this is not just a personal opinion, but a piece of carefully chosen text designed to sell bikes?

Chad has a self-proclaimed lack of self control. So obviously the most responsible choice was this 2005 Limited Edition GSX-R1000. We're assuming (hoping) after Chad turns the throttle for the first time on this rocket, he'll learn self-control really, REALLY quickly. Have fun... be safe, but have fun. Congrats on the new ride man. Take it seriously.

I'm not sure what the heck to make of that last comment. I hadn't noticed it. That one almost reads like they're trying to publicly distance themselves from the guy, as in "we didn't want to, but he insisted, if you kill yourself it's your fault". But if that's the case, why even post him on that page in the first place?
