A solution for "polishing" matte paint!

I bought a matte blue Z750S and I wanted to find a product that I could use for polishing it. I did not want to make the paint look glossy at all. The only thing I found was Mother's Back-to-Black. The bottle said it would work on colours (as well as black) and was good for flat paint. I tried it and what happened was the paint became more like satin - the colour is deeper and has more sparkle. So now it is not 100% exactly like it was originally but I personally think it looks better, and now I feel good because my paint has some protection. Not to mention it has worked well for "polishing" out any teeny tiny scratches in the paint.

Anyone have any other solutions?

I painted my Maxim 400 flat black (as it was in rough looking shape when I got it) Love the look, but no clear coat protection, scuffs a little too easy, sounds like that may be a life saver. Do you know if it's gas resistant?
May pick up some to try anyways...
