As a mine worker, I just wanted everyone who reads this to say a prayer or just a thought for the miners trapped underground at the Crandall Canyon Mine and the brave Mine rescue guys who gave their lives in the rescue attempt.
Heres to the six men trapped underground right now, may you see sunshine again.

The latest news is that 3 rescue workers were killed in a new collapse which is saddening. The good news so far is that there was some ventilation in the mine so the miners could still be in good shape. Here's hoping.
I didn't know you were a coal miner. The sad thing is some mining companies prohibit their workers from riding motorcycles. How's the policy for yours?

Well, Im not a coal miner, I work in a copper/nickle mine. You couldnt pay me enough to work in a coal mine. As for companies prohibiting employees from riding motorcycles, I havent heard of that happening, and I dont see how they could prohibit someones vehichle choice. If they did that, I have a feeling Id be looking for a new line of work.

I guess it's just in the US then, but I don't think the policy is in all coal mines. It has something to do with the health coverage and they want to cut some costs so no dangerous activities if you want coverage... kinda asinine.
